This is our 1979 VW Convertible. It was purchased by our son, Ben up near Dallas in the summer of 1994 (I think) He kept it with him as he served in the Army stationed in El Paso. He sold it to me and I have had it now for these past
20+ years. In that time we have it completely redone. Shaving the chrome and repainting it. We added the little moon hubcaps and a new interior.
Well, It set in the garage for the past couple of years and I thought I would sell it. The interest has been good, but no one wanted to pay me what I felt it was worth. My youngest daughter, Susan used to drive the little car in high school and always said she wanted the car, but it is one that requires someone spend time and money on it to keep it up. She is getting married this year and I found out that the little car came off the assembly line in June 1979. Guess what? Susan was born June 1, 1979. This little car has been waiting 27 years to be united with the one it was built for. So for her wedding present, Ruby and I are giving Susan the car.
